Flexi Solar PV Panels uses of lightweight polymer films instead of traditional glass along with the proven technology of crystalline silicon cells. The careful choice of materials and their thickness creates the right balance between protection of thin photovoltaic cells and the creation of a flexible and light case. Extreme flexibility, as seen in the picture, which will surprise anyone who has handled a crystalline solar cell, normally so brittle that they break under very low stress.

The polymers used are also characterized by high resistance to weathering, enabling certification according to IEC 61215 and 61730, a guarantee of long life even under the most extreme conditions.

Technological Features of these panels:
  1. Cells Interconnections: The core of these panels is the technology that interconnects solar electric cells and collects the power they generate. This innovation is a direct replacement of the conventional, high temperature solar cell soldering process.

It comprises of a polymer film embedded with a number of copper wires specially coated with a proprietary, low-temperature melting point alloy. This establishes a low-resistance electrical contact with the surface of the PV cell creating over 2,100 independent electrical contacts.

  1. Shading Protection: Shade reduces the efficiency of solar PV modules. The Technology enables optimum performance by maximizing the energy yield, even when the module is shaded by trees and buildings or partially covered by leaves, moss, snow or dirt.

Conventional solar modules contain three strings, or zones, of interconnected PV cells. When even a small portion of one string is partially shaded, the entire zone may no longer collect energy, significantly reducing the module’s capacity.

The flexible cell layout of the panels allows for the design of a module with up to nine independent operating Zone/ segments. If one is shaded, the other eight keep working.
